Fall

I can't believe Fall is here and is already leaving. Soon it will be winter! We have had a crazy time since I last posted on this blog...
  • I am now a Registered Nurse!
  • We visited my brother at his mission in NY (DCtoNY bus ride only $30!)
  • Chris will be taking his first ever law school finals in about a week.
  • I am on the job hunt.
  • Had Thanksgiving in New Jersey with Chris's Aunt's and Uncle as well as his fun and loud east coast cousins.
  • We are so excited to decorate for Christmas and to fly back to Utah for the holidays!

Chris fell asleep at the library while we were studying.  Obviously he fell asleep on something round...it may have been his fist. haha

It was so great to be able to visit Marc on his mission in Brooklyn, New York! It's rare for family members to be able to spend time with their missionaries and to experience a day with them in the field. We loved it!

NY I WUV U SO.

This little guy was such a snuggler. :)

Hanging out with the cousins!

Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast just a few days before my NCLEX! Luckily the power was only out for a couple hours during the night, hence my candle sticks. I was so excited to light them.
As of Nov. 2, 2012 I passed my boards!!! So I am officially a Registered Nurse! I didn't believe it until I saw my name Sierra Kay Topham, RN on paper. ;)
So true.

A Little Evidence of Some Fun.

The Capitol

The United States Botanic Garden, I thought was so pretty, especially all of the orchids.

In front of my apartment building after our first grocery shopping trip.

I begged Chris to take me to Georgetown to try out the popular cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes (the owners have a show on TLC called D.C. cupcakes, it's pretty much scripted..) and then to see if the cupcakes from Baked and Wired were any better. We decided that Baked and Wired made the best cupcakes, my spiced chai cupcake was delicious. ;)

Looking across the Potomac at Arlington.

The First Post of Hopefully Many More Posts....

This is my first blog post, I still don't know what all goes into making a blog so I'm pretty sure my blog will not look like those super cute, decorative, charmingly written blogs I have seen before. This blog's main job is to highlight the adventures Chris and I will have while living here in Arlington, Va. So that our family can know what we are up to. As for right now Chris is in his 3rd month of law school at George Mason University. I moved here a couple weeks ago after a long summer of studying and graduating from nursing school. We love our new one bedroom apartment and the location. We only have a short walk to the mall, grocery store, restaurants, and the metro. I especially love how it only takes us less than 30 min to get the Museums in D.C.! We already love living on the east coast and can't wait for what the next 3 years will bring us!
